Below are a series of pictures that we have found showing scenes at the Site & in Town, when The Company was known as "Park Laundry & Carpet Beating (Cleaning) Works" of Commercial Street & St Johns Road The Proprietor,T.G. Vitty - Possibly The gent With The Moustache Driving the larger Car and standing by the Carpet beating Machine. 5 Vehicles are featured possibly the Larger car being Mr Vitty's personal Vehicle. There are 2 Vans Reg No's AJ 6120 & PY 3214 and 2 cars Reg No's PY 299 & BT 2433. There is also an unidentified Vehicle with 4 rows of seats (The Toyota Land Cruiser of the day) probably hired for an outing. BELOW :- 1990 Saw the removal of the old Coal fired steam boiler and the instalation of a new Gas fired Boiler St Johns Road was still a 2 way traffic street and free of speed humps
